Braes Golf Centre is the operating name of the golfing and hospitality venue on the site of the former Polmont Golf Club. The course was built in 1976, although the original Polmont Golf Club dates back over 100 years, so there is a bit of ‘heritage’ here!
The entire Golf Centre spans some 90 acres, including a generous golf driving range and putting practice facilities.
In 2020, the site was bought by Steve Matthews, a local businessman and lifelong golf fan. Steve’s vision is to create an excellent value-for-money facility that caters for every standard of golfer, from beginner to club champion, and to be an inclusive and welcoming place for all to enjoy playing golf and socialise in the Falkirk area.
We are here for a good time, not a long time, so it’s essential we make the most of our golfing time. There are loads of good 18-hole courses around Falkirk and Central Scotland, if that’s what you want; however, 18 holes of golf can often be just too time-consuming, or physically demanding for many, so nine is the new 18 for many people these days. Please respect the course, the staff, the facilities, and the other players, and, oh, there’s no dress code to speak of… but please don’t wear football colours, as these can sometimes hurt others, if you know what we mean!

Braes Golf Centre is at the heart of the rapidly expanding Maddiston/South East Falkirk area. It’s the only licensed hospitality venue/bar in the area within a 2 mile radius.
